Forest Marketing Group's History

Forest Marketing Group, LLC was formed in 2003 to manage 170,000 acres of Weyerhaeuser property in Middle Tennessee.  FMG’s parent company, Mobile Forest Products, Inc., is a large, well-respected land and timber management company in Mobile, AL that serves Alabama, Florida and Mississippi.  FMG’s goal was to provide land and timber management services on the 170,000 acres and build a premier timber marketing and harvesting company to serve smaller landowners in Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas.

Bios

Stacy Whitlow is a 1998 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Timber Management.  Stacy worked with Champion International Corporation and International Paper for five years before moving to Tennessee.  He is an Alabama Registered Forester and is currently serving as President of Hickman County Forestry Association and a member of Tennessee Forestry Association.
                               

Tim Carroll is a native of Lewis County and former logger.  Tim has over 30 years experience in logging and timber buying. He has a vast knowledge of the timber market, especially in high grade hardwood timber.  Tim is a Tennessee Master Logger and a member of the Tennessee Forestry Association.  In 2004, Tim was named Tennessee Master Logger of the year.
